Well, the snow has finally fallen. Mixed feelings to say the least. I’ve been enjoying the much extended riding season, but it looks to have come to an abrupt end. Now it’s time to do the Lemon/Lemonade thing. Dig out your snowshoes and join us for a hike on Thursday night.

Thursday Night – 6p – Tibble Fork Reservoir. We’ll hike for 1.5 to 2 hours – easy pace.

We’re expecting Thursday’s storm to grace us with a fresh blanket of snow in the morning, then to clear out by evening to leave a perfect night snowshoeing experience under a full moon. Bring yourselves & bring your friends. This will be the one that keeps you dreaming of snow all summer long.

Fresh Snow, Clear Skies, and a beautiful trail. Come join us for our Thursday night snowshoe hike on the Big Springs Trial. Head up Provo Canyon, turn East at Vivian Park and follow it up to the Big Springs trail parking lot (go up to the upper lot). We’ll head out at 6p.

Meet at 6p (5:40p at turnout before fee station to carpool). It will be chilly, but the skies should be clear and the haze will be gone – will make for some amazing views! Join us!

For this Thursday’s hike, we’re going to hike in the Big Springs area of the South Fork of Provo Canyon. It’s a fun area to hike in with meandering trails and a few large open meadows. Meet at the Big Springs (Upper) Parking Lot at 6p. Here is a Map to the parking area from Provo Canyon. Be sure to drive to the upper parking lot.

At last, some slightly warmer weather! Come join us for a snowshoe hike from the Pine Hollow parking lot at 6pm on Thursday, January 20th (or meet at the turnout before the fee booth at 5:40p).

For this week’s hike we’ll start from the Tibble Fork Reservoir (AF Canyon, North Fork) parking lot. We’ll either hike trail 40 (same as a couple of weeks ago), or we’ll head up toward Granite Flat. Meet at the parking lot at 6p, or if you’d prefer to carpool up the canyon, meet at the turnout just before the fee station at the mouth of the canyon. See you there!

Looks like it will be clear skies on Thursday evening, so get yourself out of the inversion and join us for a hike under the stars. We’ll take the Pine Hollow trail up to the overlook. Ready to go at the Trailhead at 6p. (Carpool from turnout just before the fee station at 5:40p)

See out the year in style with a Thursday night snowshoe. Bundle Up! Meet at the Tibble Fork parking lot at 6p (Left fork of AF canyon)(or meet at the turnout just before the fee station at 5:40p).

We got just enough snow on Wednesday to allow us to hike the lower elevations without walking on rocks. And with the 13* temperature when we left the parking lot – there was no chance of slowing down long enough to pull off the snowshoes anyway. The river was just starting to freeze, but not enough to brave walking across it, so we carefully walked the rocks.

Ryan, anxious to get in all the speed he can prior to his upcoming knee surgery, set a blistering pace to the top of the hill. The rest of us tried to enjoy the beautiful scenery that the fresh snow and nearly full moon provided.
