Next week, Sept. 2nd we will be riding up Provo Canyon on Windy Pass (thanks Nathan). We will meet at the parking lot at the mouth of the canyon at 5:40pm and Nathan will lead us from there.
Shop guys – close the store on time, kiss your woman or man (which ever way you go is up to you) good bye and join the cool kids in class on this shop ride!!
See you all there!
I have only been up there once, but I don’t think it is too hard to navigate.

I should be able to make it this week. This is my first ride with Timp Cyclery and first time going to Windy Pass. Sounds like fun!

There is one small steep section 200ft or so full of rocks, Fun to come down, but I’ll have to push up some of it. Bill you can probably ride up it if you can pedal around some loose baby heads.

There was some confusion as to where to meet so we got a late start. We had some pretty brutal climbs early on between mile 1 and two (we opted for some steep road over single track in the interest of time) but it was all ridable. We had hit the last fork int the trail and started up the trail towards windy pass just after mile 3. Then somewhere between mile 3 and 4 most of us where feeling a little out of it and there where some concerns of it getting dark and nobody thought it was a good idea to all ride by my one light so we turned around.
Mario and Luke joined Clay Ryan and Wess and I for their first shop ride and a whopping :sarcasm: 5.8 miles and 1208 ft of climbing. We reached speeds of 25 miles an hour (I had to keep it slow as I am still phycologically damaged from my last set of crashes) You can see the GPS logs here http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/t-lCKQIwN9s starting elevation was a little messed up because I started the GPS on the trail without giving the GPS time to accuire a signal.

Are we riding this week? Luke and I are game again. Last week we all talked about doing a ride in AF Canyon. I’m up for it if we want to brave the chance of thunderstorms.
